Town Planning

Cities like people, lively, healthy, sick, and even dead. Since the "Athens Charter", the concept of "functional zoning" has occupied the mainstream of urban planning for most of the time, making the city a huge functional machine, but its efficient operation hinders life. Cities are created by exchanges and gatherings, and should serve to promote exchanges. Urban public spaces should be exhibition halls that present the vitality and diversity of the city, rather than giving way to cars and other means of transportation. Various places to promote people's stay and communication should be seen everywhere, rather than all enclosed in indoor museums and shopping malls. IFAD has established a complete system of charming cities: eliminate urban ills, lead innovative lives, and create unique charms!
