The Songjiang South New Town is a project base being planned in Shanghai. The goal is to establish a new transportation hub in the southern part of Shanghai, a new entry and exit point for Shanghai, as well as a new complex for finance, public services, and residential areas. The planning of the sports area provides sustainable quality of life for each plot. The vision for this urban planning project is to develop a strong north-south axis to link the hub. This axis reflects the historical development of the city extending north and south in Songjiang, stretching southward from the old city center, crossing the railway in a fish-leaping form, and developing southward. All interactions supporting the different functions of the city propose a central park for light transportation, green urban living, and commercial leisure activities.
