The Zhengzhou Aviation City project is transforming from an important urban transportation hub into a new type of industrial city, facing the challenge of how to ensure the operation of urban functions through efficient transportation methods and shape the city's recognizability. Therefore, six core urban design principles have been formulated based on the site conditions, which are: 1. Multi-center structure and functional mix 2. Replacing private transportation with public transportation 3. Creating a city backbone of public service axes 4. Building an urban ecological forest 5. Integrating explicit grid patterns with implicit agricultural textures 6. Human-scale neighborhood units.
