This project relies on Dongguan West Station to create a unique international gateway for the water town, distinct from Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. It aims to lead the innovative development of the eastern bay area while maintaining a strong cultural image and local identity, thereby attracting a new generation of young urban residents in the Greater Bay Area. The goal is to build an innovative service strategic platform for the eastern bay area, a demonstration zone for regional cooperation between Guangzhou and Dongguan, and a model for Dongguan to practice new development concepts. To achieve this goal, the overall positioning of "Sky-high Foundation, Cloud-bound Water Town" is proposed, constructing a city image that is born from water and interwoven in multiple dimensions. The Dongguan West Station area will carry the infinite creativity of the water town people, opening up a new landscape of water town facing the future.
