The Changfeng Ruins Park was once the Shanghai Changfeng Chemical Factory, which made outstanding contributions to Shanghai's economic development. However, its industrial functions are no longer suitable for the location in the city center, and years of chemical pollution have severely eroded the soil of the site. The plan adopts ecological organic methods using plants to remove pollution as the basic way to improve the soil, while guiding the natural landscape over industrial buildings and structures, preserving industrial heritage while reflecting the ecological concept of nature reclaiming the world.
