The International Design Institute is a first-class international design school jointly established by the Shenzhen Municipal Government, Zurich University of the Arts, Harbin Institute of Technology, and the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Catalonia through a formal quadripartite cooperation agreement. The International Design Institute advocates the educational philosophy of scientific design, artistic engineering, and global service, through the intersection of Chinese and Western cultures, the integration of art and technology, and the combination of design and engineering. The overall design concept of the architecture expresses the transformation process of architectural space from internal dimensions to external natural space. From the perspective of the column grid structure, it creates an open space that is transparent inside and outside; from the perspective of responding to the terrain, it sets a scale that is appropriate for the volume; from the perspective of spatial aggregation, it creates a teaching environment that integrates inside and outside. In order to achieve the spatial flow of the building's internal small world and external large environment, the facade design becomes the overall expression of spatial design, ultimately realizing a multidimensional flowing space.
