This piece of land, just 200m from Macau, finally welcomed new life in 2009. The design team preserved the characteristics and ecological background of the site through the design concept of "Mountainous Countryside - Water Urbanism," while also creating a distinctly iconic urban space. The plan first establishes an ecological corridor between the large and small Hengqin Mountains, building a framework for ecological patterns. Secondly, it systematically retains the original dense water network, which becomes a carrier for transportation, landscape, and infrastructure that nourishes the city's operation. Finally, the original farmland is transformed into development plots, allowing each plot to face both the road and the water, creating infinite future urban value.
